'Shaandaar' Was A Clear No-show, But No Regrets: Alia Bhatt

  • 'Shaandaar' Was A Clear No-show, But No Regrets: Alia Bhatt
Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt admits she was "not happy" with how her last release "Shaandaar" fared at the box office, but she says she doesn't regret doing the movie.

Asked about the failure of "Shaandaar", Alia said here: "I was not happy, obviously. It was a clear no-show. If it's not a good film, then it will not do well, I will not say we made a good film and it didn't do well."

"Yes, there were problems... But, I will not blame anyone either. I will take full responsibility for it. When I signed the film, I did it happily and I still have no regrets. Now it has happened, so it's okay. Now I will work harder and move on."

The movie was directed by Vikas Bahl of "Queen" fame.

Alia will next be seen in Dharma Productions's "Kapoor & Sons" with Sidharth Malhotra.

"Working with Dharma Productions is like coming home. It's like a family to me. Karan (Johar) is a very liberal father... he is like my father and he gives me a lot of space. When I worked with Sidharth earlier, we were newcomers, so we were very nervous. This time we had a great time as I had a certain bond with him."

Directed by Shakun Batra, "Kapoor & Sons" also features Rishi Kapoor, Ratna Pathak Shah and Rajat Kapoor. The film is slated for release on March 18.
