Shah Rukh Turns Up At Arpita Khan's Reception At 2 A.M.

Darpan News Desk Darpan, 23 Nov, 2014 02:12 PM
  • Shah Rukh Turns Up At Arpita Khan's Reception At 2 A.M.
Salman Khan's sister Arpita Khan's wedding reception here was attended by most of the friends who couldn't make it to the wedding at Hyderabad. That also included Shah Rukh Khan, who arrived at 2 a.m.

The reception was held Friday night at the Taj Land's End in Mumbai.

An invitee said: "Shah Rukh Khan came very late, but he was in his elements even at that time of the night. He chatted with the bride and her husband, with Salman-Arpita's parents and danced with Salman."

Salman's buddy Govinda, who is in the limelight again after the rave reviews for his two back-to-back releases, couldn't go to Hyderabad for the wedding as he was promoting the two films -- "Kill Dil" and "Happy Ending". He was at his chirpy best at the wedding reception and seen in a long amiable conversation with his director friend David Dhawan, thereby putting an end to the speculation of differences between the two.

Shatrughan Sinha and daughter Sonakshi were also seen, as were Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty.

No one from the Bachchan clan was present for the reception, but the Kapoor clan was represented by Randhir Kapoor and his elder daughter Karisma. Kareena and her husband Saif Ali Khan were reportedly on a holiday to London.

The veteran brigade was led by Dilip Kumar, who arrived with his beautiful wife Saira Banu early in the evening. In a rare show of respect, Salman and his father Salim Khan, bride Arpita and groom Ayush came down to the lobby area of the hotel to personally receive Dilip Kumar and accompany him inside.
