Smilie my pillar of strength: Emraan Hashmi

Darpan News Desk IANS, 24 Apr, 2015 12:43 PM
Actress Smilie Suri and her husband Vineet Bangera, who are set to flaunt their dance moves in TV show "Nach Baliye 7", were in for a pleasant surprise with a special pre-recorded message from actor Emraan Hashmi.

In the clip, the actor, who has earned tag of a 'serial kisser', showcased his emotional side and termed Smilie as his 'pillar of strength'.

"Smilie and I used to play together; she is like a sister to me. She has been a pillar of strength for me, my wife and son. Mohit & I are extremely protective when it comes to her," Emraan said.

The video message will be showcased in the first episode of the dance reality show on April 26.

Taking a dig at Smilie, the 36-year-old actor noted that he never thought she would ever "get married".

"We never thought Smilie would ever get married because her specifications are high and we never thought there would be a guy for her," the "Mr. X" star said.

Emraan also spilled some beans about the couple.

"I don't think they remember, but I had met Vineet earlier, after that my wife introduced him to me as a boyfriend. They have a common passion, which is present in very few cases. This is a positive aspect and they're a match made in heaven," he said.

Smilie was seen in her brother Mohit Suri’s directorial "Kalyug" in 2005, while Vineet is a dance instructor. The couple got married last year.

The seventh season of the Star Plus show is being judged by actress Preity Zinta, author Chetan Bhagat and choreographer Marzi Pestonji.
