Lana Del Rey to record Bond theme?

Darpan News Desk IANS, 29 Aug, 2014 10:12 AM
  • Lana Del Rey to record Bond theme?
Singer Lana Del Rey is in talks to record the next James Bond theme.

Producers of the franchise are reportedly considering the “West Coast” singer to provide vocals for the next "James Bond" anthem, but she will face stiff competition for the coveted number from British singer Sam Smith, reports contactmusic.com.

Producers know it has to be a great song with a killer vocal to rival the phenomenal success of Adele's "Skyfall".

Del Rey certainly has the credentials as she previously earned a hit song with “Young and Beautiful” after recording it especially for the soundtrack to “The Great Gatsby”.

The next film in the franchise titled “Bond 24” is expected to be released in 2015.
