Taylor Swift Gets Friendly At Award Shows

Darpan News Desk IANS, 24 Jun, 2015 01:28 PM
  • Taylor Swift Gets Friendly At Award Shows
Singer Taylor Swift loves sticking close to her pop star friends at award ceremonies as they can be competitive and awkward in the music industry.

The 25-year-old, whose relationship with DJ Calvin Harris became public at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards, says being friends with other musicians at the ceremonies has helped her to enjoy the events which can feel "competitive" and "strange", reports femalefirst.co.uk.

Speaking on Britain TV show “Lorraine”, Swift said: “That's the cool part about the musical climate right now, is that I go to these award shows and I really do feel like I'm seeing a lot of my friends and the more friends that I make that are awesome and cool and are at these events, the less it feels like some strange competitive atmosphere.

That doesn't feel as nice as going to an award show and feeling like, 'Hey! It's everyone that I really loved!'"

Swift is close friends with British singers Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith, and she is happy with their success.
