Singer Taylor Swift says she loves Scottish people during a gig at Glasgow's SSE Hydro arena.

The 25-year-old is currently dating Dumfries-born DJ Calvin Harris and during a gig at Glasgow's SSE Hydro arena, the 'Shake It Off' hitmaker revealed the duo have more in common than most people realise.

"Look at all of these amazing Scottish people in this room right now. I happen to love Scottish people, personally," she told The Sun newspaper, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

Indeed, Taylor admitted to having Scottish roots, something she only learned about following a recent email exchange with her father.

She said: "My dad sent me an email. It said our whole family is from Scotland, so I evidently am one of you."
