Opus Art Supplies Celebrates 5th Annual Outdoor Painting Challenge

    Opus Art Supplies invites British Columbians of all ages, artistic ability and discipline to take part in their free 5th Annual Outdoor Painting Challenge this Sunday, May 15th, from 10am-3pm (with official judging and prize giveaway taking place from 5pm-6pm).  

    With six locations throughout BC (and four in the Lower Mainland including North Vancouver, Langley, Granville Island and Downtown Vancouver), it is the perfect excuse to enjoy the outdoors while showcasing existing or budding artistic talents amongst old and new friends. 

    Everyone is encouraged to pre-register in-store or by phone at the Opus they'd like to participate at. When they sign in on the May 15, artists will be given a free 8”x10” canvas to create their piece of art depicting a part of their community in spring. The artwork will be displayed on site, with all exhibitors entered for a chance to win prizes ranging from artist materials to Opus Gift Cards and totaling $27,000 event-wide.

    WHO: All are welcome to register for this exciting, fun and free artistic event.  Participants are invited to paint, draw, sketch or use whatever artistic means to capture their vision of the outdoors during spring. 

    WHY: Celebrate the 5th Annual Outdoor Painting Challenge and explore the arts outdoors, have fun with friends, family or enjoy the solitude of plein air expression solo. Submit your 8”x10” masterpiece for a chance to win great prizes.

    Please note: those wishing to participate are encouraged to pre-register by phone or in-store.  Online registration ends tonight (May 12th).
