  • City Centre Library Celebrates its 5th Anniversary
The City Centre Library designed by Bing Thom Architects is having its 5th anniversary celebration on Saturday, October 1, 11:00 am - 3:00 pm.

In addition to winning numerous awards, the Library was cited in U.S. news website The Huffington Post’s 11 best architectural moments of 2011.

“It’s hard to believe that it has already been 5 years since this award winning library has been open,” says April Cox, Manager of City Centre Library. “The City Centre Library serves as a source of inspiration for library patrons, staff and the broader community. We are inviting one and all to join us in celebrating 5 years (and counting) in Downtown Surrey!”

• special guests like Bing Thom Architects , author Ujjal Dosanjh, Surrey Poet Laureate Renée Sarojini Saklikar, and City of Surrey Community Planning Division
• facepainting
• musical performances
• storytimes
