An acclaimed culinarian, Ajay Chopra’s love and passion for food has seen him grow as a modern Indian chef. His conviction and diligence has conferred him as one of the most celebrated chefs in the Indian television and food industry.

He is popularly known for co-hosting and judging MasterChef India Season 1 and 2. He has also been a food host for shows such as Chop Chop Chopra, Veggistan, and others. Being a true food lover, chef Chopra believes food can bring miracles to one’s life, specially when it is given its value and cooked with the right mix of ingredients, heat and warmth of love.

Chef Chopra has worked in India and United Kingdom, and has been part of well-known restaurants such as JW Marriott in Mumbai, Mint Leaf in UK, and The Westin Mumbai Garden City. During his culinary sojourn in the UK, he was voted one of the eight best Indian chefs of London. At his stint at Mayfair, he has brushed shoulders with Gordon Ramsay and Angela Hartnett.

Having worked in London and with his knowledge of the international restaurant trends, chef Chopra brings a refreshing approach to the food scene in India. He is greatly committed to taking Indian cuisine into new and uncharted areas and constantly experiments with new ingredients and flavours.

After a sparkling career as the head of the kitchen brigade for globally recognized chains Marriott and Starwood, and after successfully hosting food shows on two of India’s leading television channels, chef Chopra has reinvented himself. He has now taken on the role of entrepreneur through his latest venture, Burgundy Box, a revolutionary doit-yourself meal kit service. Being a food visionary, he wanted to see India dine in a whole new way.  With his experience around many mediums, he brings a fresh approach to food on a daily basis.
