The Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials probing the case of financial irregularities at state-run R.G. Kar Medical College & Hospital, on Wednesday, summoned Prasun Chattopadhyay, the personal assistant (PA) of Sandip Ghosh, the former and controversial principal of the same college for questioning. The expansion of cover to senior citizens of the age of 70 and above was earlier announced by PM Modi in April 2024 during the launch of the BJP manifesto for the Lok Sabha elections.
