12-Yr-old Disabled Boy, 3-Yr-old Sister Hacked, Parents And Uncle Detained Moga

IANS, 18 May, 2017 11:12 AM
Two minor children were found murdered at their residence in Fatehulla-Shahwala village of Dharamkot sub-division in the district on Wednesday. The victims were identified as three-year-old girl Jasmeen and his half-brother Lovedeep, 12, both children of Sher Singh.

Sources said Sher Singh had two sons Lovedeep and Dharamjeet, both handicapped and bed-ridden, from his first wife, while Jasmeen was from his second wife, identified as Paramjeet Kaur.

His elder son Dharamjeet, in his statement to the police, alleged that his step-mother Paramjeet and uncle Malkiat Singh had killed both his brother and sister using an axe after a minor fight occurred between the children.

Sources said that Paramjeet didn’t like her step-sons due to their physical disability.

Police officials said that Paramjeet is mentally unstable. However, Malkiat during his interrogation by the police alleged that his brother-in-law Sher Singh had killed both the children.

Dharamkot deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Jasvir Singh said the police are yet to reach any conclusion. “We are interrogating all the suspects after which a case will be registered,” he said.
