2 Delhi Teenagers Held For Trying To Rape Minor And Shoot A Video Of The Incident

IANS, 10 Sep, 2015 12:33 PM
Delhi Police on Thursday detained two teenaged boys for allegedly trying to rape a 15-year-old girl and shoot a video of the incident.

The incident took place on Monday in Pandav Nagar area of east Delhi.

Four teenagers, on the pretext of arranging a meeting with the girl's annoyed friend, took the girl, a Class 9 student, to a house and locked her in a room with another teenaged male friend who was waiting there.

The teenaged boy waiting inside tried to rape the girl while the others captured the incident on their mobile phones, a police officer said.

The girl was rescued by a passer-by who heard her cries.

Later, the accused teenagers allegedly threatened the girl with dire consequences when she complained about the incident to her aunt, saying they would make the video public.

The girl's father approached police after he came to know about the incident through her schoolmate.

An FIR was lodged, and two of the five teenagers involved have been detained, while a search for the rest is on, police said.

All the accused teenagers are residents of the same area.
