2 Pak Nationals Nabbed, Planned To Guide Terrorists Into Kashmir

Darpan News Desk IANS, 03 Sep, 2019 08:14 PM

Two Pakistani nationals nabbed by the Army on the Indian side of the Line of Control (LoC) were to guide a large group of terrorists to infiltrate into J&K for disrupting peace in the aftermath of the abrogation of Article 370 and division of the State into two Union Territories, Defence sources said.

Khalil Ahmad and Mozam Khokar, both Pakistani nationals, were arrested near the LoC in Boniyar sector of Baramulla district during the intervening night of August 22 and 23, sources said.

"The duo were carrying out a recce to help a large group of LeT terrorists infiltrate into the valley.

"During questioning the two LeT guides have revealed that their handlers across the LoC are planning to push in groups of terrorists to disrupt peace and attack the security forces in Kashmir.

"In their revised strategy, the terrorists and their handlers have been training small groups of seven to ten terrorists who can sneak across the LoC under the cover of fire provided by the Pakistan Army", Defence sources said.

Reports also suggest that at least 14 terror training camps and their launching pads have been reactivated across the LoC after the abrogation of Article 370 and the division of J&K into the Territories of Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir.

Police sources said that the two arrested Pakistani nationals have still not been handed over to them by the Army.

"Once they are handed over to us, an FIR will be lodged against them and their sustained interrogation will start," Police sources said.
