76 Arrested In 'Romeo Free' Drive In Gurgaon

    Gurgaon police has arrested 76 people for allegedly misbehaving with women under the 'Romeo free' drive.
     
    The drive was carried out on Saturday on the direction of city police commissioner Sandeep Khirwar under the supervision of ACP Mamta Kharab.
     
    The accused were booked under 107/151 of CrPC act and were kept in sector 29, Sector-39 and and DLF phase II police stations.
     
    "The drive was from 10 pm last night till 2 am. Majority of the miscreants were arrested after pubs closed around 1 am. They were either misbehaving with bar girls or passing comments on women visitors. They will be produced in Gurgaon court," ACP Kharab said.
     
     
    Gurgaon police have deployed three dozen police personnel and 20 women police personals in civil dress outside every mall in wake of the rising crime against women.
     
    "We see drunken brawl in and outside the malls once pubs get shuts at scheduled time 1 am," she added.
