The Adani Ports and Special Economic Zones (APSEZ) Ltd on Tuesday said it will use its own resources to fund a Sri Lankan port project and not seek US funding. In a stock exchange filing, Adani Ports said the project "is on track for commissioning by early next year”.

Punjab Police’s Commissionerate Police (CP) Amritsar has arrested a drug smuggler and recovered 5.1 kg heroin from his possession, Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav said here on Monday. The arrested accused has been identified as Gurveer Singh, alias Gora (32), a resident of Ferozepur.
