The decisions of the GST Council in its September 3 meeting set in motion major structural reforms in the GST regime, simplifying rates and processes, the central bank said in its bulletin.

The meeting comes days after armies of the two countries concluded the 21st edition of Exercise Yudh Abhyas 2025, the annual bilateral army-to-army exercise between India and the United States, in Alaska.
In a statement here, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said the special session would focus on introducing several people-oriented amendments to rules related to the damage caused by the floods.
The Prime Minister, who turned 75 on September 17, said the goodwill reflected the “inherent goodness of the people of India,” adding that numerous social service initiatives organised nationwide to mark the day “sustain our society and give us the courage to overcome all challenges with hope and positivity.”
