Veteran Congress leader and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijaya Singh on Friday said "gambling" and "betting" should also be banned in the state. The Congress leader made this assertion in the wake of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav-led BJP government's decision to ban the sale and consumption of liquor at prominent religious sites in the state.

As per the decision, 10 additional categories of PwDs will now be eligible for pension benefits. The move aligns with the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, under which the Central government has included 21 disability categories.
