Approaching UN over Kashmir Pakistan's old tactic: India

Darpan News Desk IANS, 14 Oct, 2014 10:51 AM
India Tuesday said Pakistan's approaching the UN over Kashmir is an "old tactic" which will not succeed.

External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin also said that any "third party intervention" was not welcome.

Noting that India is willing for a dialogue with Pakistan, and the issue of Jammu and Kashmir will be included in it, he said: "Pakistan is not interested in that kind of dialogue."

"Sending letter to UN is a well known tactic, it has not worked earlier, it will not work now," he said.

Pakistan has written to UN chief Ban ki-moon on the security situation along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir and the International Border with India and sought the world body's intervention in resolving the issue.
