Bikaner SP Asks Cops To Submit Their Tummy Size!

Darpan News Desk IANS, 23 Oct, 2019 08:33 PM

Bikaner Superintendent of Police (SP) Pradeep Mohan Sharma on Wednesday wrote to all police branch heads directing them to shortlist "heavy weight" employees/officers in their respective departments with bloated tummy size and asked them to share their information with the SP office by November 1.

The letter marked to additional SP City/Rural, additional SP-crime and vigilance range, circle officers, SHOs, traffic, SC/ST cell and others says department in-charge will have to share the names of police officers/employees whose weight and tummy size are higher than the average size, to SP office by November 1 via e-mail and postal service.

There is a pro forma given in the letter which has six columns, the first is for serial number, second for name of the employee or officer, third for designation, fourth is meant for weight, fifth is for chest size and last column has the title 'abdominal size' (pet ka gherao).

The subject of the letter says "with reference to physical fitness of police employees/officers".

Meanwhile, the SP confirmed sending such a letter and termed it as a routine exercise.

"There is nothing new in this... we have been monitoring the physical fitness of our team members," he added.
