Capt Amarinder Singh has ordered a crackdown on unscrupulous travel agents in the state.

 

In a tweet, Capt Amarinder said: “I have directed Punjab DGP to crack down on all such recruitment agents. We will protect our citizens at all costs.”

 
 

The Chief Minister issued directions after Union Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj urged him to register criminal cases against unscrupulous travel agents who mislead and cheat citizens.

 

“I have requested Captain Amarinder to register criminal cases and to proceed against all recruitment agents who mislead and cheat Indian citizens,” tweeted Swaraj immediately after the return of Nawansheher-based women Gurbaksh from Saudi Arabia on Saturday.
