Daljit Thind Hosts Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar As He Visits British Columbia

Petrina D’Souza, 25 Aug, 2015 12:54 PM
On August 21, Daljit Thind – founder and CEO of Thind Properties organized a media conference for Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and his delegates.

The conference, which was held at Pan Pacific Hotel in Vancouver and attended by distinguished businessmen and media from B.C., was to highlight the growth and development of Haryana and encourage investors and businessmen to invest in the state.

Thind Properties is one of the leading new home builders with a reputation for providing architectural innovation, tremendous quality, superior customer service and quality warranties.

At the conference, Haryana’s Enterprise Promotion policy 2015 was introduced which aims to develop the state’s economy. “Our Enterprise Promotion Policy 2015 is truly path breaking. It assures a New Industrial Regulation by Automatic Approvals and Delegation in Haryana so that enterprises can run in a NIRBAADH manner. It reflects our commitment to make business competitive by providing a fine environment of financial incentives and no enhancements. We aim to kick-start Haryana’s economy by achieving 8 percent GDP growth, generate more than 4  lakhs jobs and attract investments of one lakh crore,” said CM Lal about the policy.

In his speech at the conference, CM Lal pointed out the good points of the state. “Our state contributes to about 70 to 80 percent of the country’s achievements. Most of the sportsmen are from Haryana. Though we form only 2 percent of the population of the country, we contribute 10 percent to defence.”

Talking about investing in Haryana, CM Lal stated that they have the features required to attract investors. “We are far ahead than other states. We have the location, work force, environment, land, and moreover an atmosphere which wasn’t there before. The law and order in Haryana is good, we have skilled power, a positive government, and we are more business-friendly. The rate of growth here is much higher than the national growth rate consistently. Another advantage is that we are closer to the capital of India, Delhi, and closer to the International Airport of Delhi.”

He added, “We need to go ahead with our IT sector though education, skill development and we hope you can contribute to take this ahead. We have created that atmosphere to ensure that no working person in Haryana will face any problems – be it law and order, infrastructure or business.”

The CM and his delegates also visited the USA before coming to Canada and have had a chance to make trade deals there. “We visited some cities in the USA like New York, San Francisco, among others. We have spoken to Google, United Technology, Cisco and many others,” says the CM, adding, “People in Canada are interested in Haryana and want to invest in the state, particularly in the fields of infrastructure and housing, among others.”
