IANS, 28 Sep, 2016 11:26 AM
Around 1,000 Delhi government yoga and physical education teachers are undergoing special yoga training under the leadership of Baba Ramdev at Patanjali Yogpeeth in Haridwar.

This will benefit around 16 lakh students, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said on Wednesday.

Sisodia visited them on Wednesday and also met Baba Ramdev during his visit.

"Sixteen lakh students of Delhi Government schools will now be able to get better yoga education as teachers get training from world renowned Patanjali Yogpeeth," Sisodia told reporters here.

Baba Ramdev said the Delhi government's initiative, which is a first in the nation, will prove to be a source of inspiration for other states as well.

Thanking Ramdev for taking out time for Delhi's teachers, Sisodia said: "I hope other state governments will also understand the importance of yoga education in lifestyle of the students."
