  • Depressed Ludhiana Industrialist Jagmeet Pal Singh Khurana Kills Wife, Son Before Committing Suicide
A local industrialist allegedly shot dead his wife and son and injured his daughter before killing himself at his bungalow at Model Town Extension here on Thursday.

Jagmeet Pal Singh Khurana, 40, who owns a furnace unit at Focal Point besides an iron store at Millerganj, used his licensed gun.
He allegedly shot at his wife Jaspreet Kaur alias Neetu (38), son Jashandeep Singh (18) and daughter Bisman (15).

The wife and son died whereas Bisman, who took a bullet on the head, is undergoing treatment at Dayanand Medical College and Hospital and is said to be critical.

Police Commissioner RN Dhoke visited the spot along with a dog squad and forensic team.

Police said prima facie it seemed Jagmeet first shot his family members before committing suicide. The police are trying to find the reason behind the killings.

Jagmeet and his immediate family lived on the first floor of the bungalow while his mother Mohinder Kaur lived on the ground floor.

The incident came to light on Thursday morning when Mohinder Kaur woke up and found that no family member came down from the first floor.

When the gardener and driver arrived for work she asked them to check. “When the garderner went upstairs he found the doors locked. He sounded Mohinder Kaur and they called police,” a relative said.

DCP Investigation Gagan Ajit Singh said the police broke open the door and found the bodies lying in the room with bullet injuries on their heads and the girl in a critical condition.
