Digvijaya Singh Dares Modi To Follow Obama's Advice On Religion

Darpan News Desk IANS, 27 Jan, 2015 12:39 PM
Alluding to US President Barack Obama's message advocating every individual's freedom to practice religion, Congress leader Digvijaya Singh Tuesday dared Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take inspiration and follow it in the country.

Singh said Obama's message was actually an advice to Modi, who may find it difficult to execute it when it comes to the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's (RSS) homecoming and reconversion campaigns.

The Congress general secretary also took a jibe at Modi, saying though the prime minister describes the US president as his friend, the latter left the country giving an advice on religion to his friend himself.

Singh also doubted if Modi could stop the VHP or RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, who talk of homecoming and reconversions.
