Excise policy case: Now, ED charge sheet names Manish Sisodia

New Delhi, May 4 (IANS) The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday filed a third supplementary charge sheet in the Delhi excise policy case naming former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia.
This is the first time that the ED has named Sisodia in its charge sheet in the matter. Earlier, the CBI, which is conducting a parallel probe into the excise policy case, had named Sisodia in its supplementary charge sheet.
The ED has alleged that Sisodia was the mastermind behind the entire excise policy case and that he had deliberately leaked the policy to the co-accused to generate financial kickbacks.
Dr Vikas Maurya, Director and HOD, Pulmonology, Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, told IANS that "there are some ongoing conversations around the much-anticipated third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, but I think as India is a large country, we can talk of state-specific waves".
He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of New India has failed and all the slogans of the Prime Minister have only been rhetoric and now the country needs a new vision which can revive the economy.
In his remarks at the virtual event, the Chief Minister said the mission will unleash Punjab's growth potential and create a thriving economy by generating jobs and inviting investment.
The two drug suppliers have been identified as Balwinder Singh of Sarangwal Hoshiarpur village and Peter Masih of Basti Danishmanda locality in Jalandhar. Peter already faces two criminal cases.
