Gone Too Soon: TV Actors Mourn The Accident Death Of 'Sasural Simar Ka' Child Actor Shivlekh Singh

Darpan News Desk IANS, 19 Jul, 2019 07:54 PM

The news of child actor Shivlekh Singh’s demise in a car accident has left the television industry saddened and shocked. The 14-year-old acted in shows like Kesari Nandan, Bal Veer, Sasural Simar Ka and Sankatmochan Hanuman.

Shivlekh’s Kesari Nandan co-actor Dakssh Ajit Singh shared how close he was to the young actor. He told, “We shared a great bond while shooting for Kesari Nandan. He was a talented boy and a wonderful soul. We laughed so much.

He was a teenager and I am quite older than him but still, he loved to discuss life, love and spirituality. He always came up with a question and I tried to give answers. Sometimes we talked for 3-4 hours without any break. With me, his bond was more strong because we shared the same 2 bhk flat.”

TV actor Aastha Chaudhary, who shared screen space with Shivlekh in the show Kesari Nandan, took to her social media account to express her grief. Sharing photos of Shivlekh from the sets of the show, Aastha wrote, “Life is just so unfair….M still in shock …Shivlekh Singh you gone toooo soon 😭💔 Rip 🙏”

The accident took place around 3 pm in Dharsiwa area, Raipur Superintendent of Police Arif Sheikh told.

While Shivlekh died on the spot, his mother Lekhna and father Shivendra Singh and another person identified as Naveen Singh were injured, he said.

The victims were heading for Raipur from Bilaspur when their car hit the rear side of an oncoming truck.

Lekhna Singh was said to be in critical condition.

Efforts were on to trace the truck driver who escaped from the spot leaving behind his vehicle, the SP said.

Shivlekh was coming to Raipur for media interviews, said Dhirendra Kumar Sharma, a family friend.

Shivlekh, native of Janjgir-Champa district in Chhattisgarh, and his parents were living in Mumbai for the last ten years. He had acted in several TV serials including "Sankatmochan Hanuman" and "Sasural Simar Ka", Sharma said.

He had also appeared in TV reality shows.

According to the child actor's co-star Surbhi Tiwari, Shivlekh's parents gained consciounes on Friday morning, a day after the accident, and have not been informed about their child's demise till their condition gets stable.

"I have been in touch with his maasi ever since I got the news. The family is shattered. I am unable to fathom what has happened. I cannot tell you what the family is going through right now," Surbhi told .

"Shivlekh's mother Lekhna is a good friend of mine. Both her and Shivlekh's father wanted to see him be an actor and he was talented. He has been a very bright boy. Both Lekhna and her husband are in the ICU as they too suffered major injuries.

Last, when I spoke to his maasi, the two had just gained consciousness, this morning, after the accident yesterday. They haven't been informed about Shivlekh's death and won't be informed till they themselves are stable. His body has been taken for post mortem last night," she added.

Surbhi who got married a few months back recalls how the boy had danced at her sangeet ceremony and how excited he was.

"The boy had danced at my wedding sangeet on February 10 and was so excited. I still remember his face, all lit up and happy. Everyone has to go, I know but not like this, not in this way and definitely not at this age. I don't know how is Lekhna going to deal with this news.

She has been a protective mother throughout and would constantly keep a tab on Shivlekh and his health, food, etc. Shivlekh was very hardworking and fun-loving. I am numb, can't say anything more beyond this," she told the paper.
