Grade-10 Student Stabs Senior To Death In Fatehabad

Darpan News Desk IANS, 04 Feb, 2019 09:25 PM

In a shocking incident, a class-12 student was stabbed to death by his two-year junior at Government Senior Secondary School in Jandli Kalan village of Fatehabad district on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Bintu, 18, a resident of Jandli Kalan village. The assailant, a minor, too hailed from same village.

The incident occurred on the school premises at around noon when a fight broke out between the two. The class-10 student who was allegedly carrying a knife in his school bag repeatedly attacked Bintu in his chest.

The victim's brother, Raman, who is also student of the same school raised the alarm after which teachers rushed the spot.

Fatehabad DSP Jagdish Kajla said the school staff took the victim student to the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Bhuna town. The doctors referred him to the Medical College in Agroha town of Hisar district where he died during the treatment, the DSP said.

He added that while the victim is above 18 years, the accused is juvenile.

The DSP said initial investigation revealed that the two students had a fight some days ago. "They seem to be nursing a grudge against each other after the incident," he said, adding that Raman, the victim's brother, was witness to the crime. The police are registering a case in this connection while the accused student had still not taken been into custody, he added.
