Gurugram: Retired pilot, Sarabjit Singh Brar, falls to death while trying to fix wind chime

Gurugram, April 13 (IANS) An 80-year-old retired pilot died after he lost his balance and fell from the fourth floor of a residential apartment while reportedly trying to fix a wind chime, the police said on Wednesday.
The deceased, Sarabjit Singh Brar, was a resident of Laburnum Apartments at DLF Phase 1 in Gurugram.
At the time of the incident that occured on Wednesday morning, Brar was at his flat along with his wife.
The police said that the victim was trying to fix a wind chime in the balcony when he lost balance and fell, leading to his death.
Soon after the incident, his wife raised an alarm after which the security guards and other residents of the apartment complex rushed him to a hospital, where Brar succumbed to his injuries.
"The deceased's body has been handed over to his family after autopsy," said a police officer.
Jayapal, 52, is in the fifth position and the only Indian American in the power list. She is described by Politico as a "feisty freshman Democratic lawmaker from Washington state's 7th Congressional District who knows how to punch back".
An FIR has been registered at the Khadak police station by the woman against the accused, identified as Haidarali Rashid Shaikh, a resident of Guruwar Peth in Satara.
The accused suspected his wife of infidelity and had allegedly tried to kill her in March by pouring mosquito repellent in her mouth, but she survived, police said.
India last month flagged its serious concerns to Britain over its stringent visa norms and hike in threshold limit of annual pay of working professionals to get the travel documents.
The woman had gone to the terrace for a break on November 30. She was talking on the phone when a man came and started staring at her. When she tried to walk away, he blocked her way.
