Harbhajan Singh Set to Marry Geeta Basra in October: All You Wanted To Know About Their Relationship

Darpan News Desk , 23 Aug, 2015 01:09 PM
After Dinesh Karthik tied the nuptial knot with squash star Dipika Pallikal, the cricket world is all set for another big fat wedding as veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh enters martial bliss with partner and Bollywood actress Geeta Basra in October.

The report suggests that the date for the wedding has been fixed for October 29 at Hotel Club Cabana in Phagwara - 20 kilometers from Harbhajan's hometown of Jalandhar.

"We have been booked for an event. We cannot disclose anything as we have been asked to maintain confidentiality," an official from the venue was quoted as saying.

The pair has been together for quite a while now and Geeta was seen attending Mumbai Indians matches very frequently in the last season of the IPL.

Geeta Basra is a renowned UK-born actress and who has tried her hands in Bollywood alongside Emraan Hashmi in 'The Train'. Bhajji has always been supportive of his lady love and has even done a cameo appearance in Geeta's latest Punjabi film 'Second Hand Husband'.

Basra in fact opened up about Harbhajan only earlier in the year when she admired him for his dedication to cricket. "He is a very strong headed person and that shows on-screen (in matches)... He got success at an early age and still he is so grounded and humble. He loves his game. I want to learn that from him," she was quoted as saying by in June.

Basra had also said then that she doesn't plan to keep her plans of marriage under wraps. "Whenever that (marriage) happens everyone will come to know," she had said. While the two are yet to make any official statement confirming the news of their union in holy matrimony, fans can expect more details once the cricketer returns from the series in Sri Lanka.

We wish this star couple a very happy married life!
