Haryana's Shame Continues; 20-Yr-Old Woman Gang-Raped In Fatehabad

    A 20-year old woman was gang-raped by two youths of her village at Bothan Kalan village of Fatehabad on Wednesday evening.
     
     
    The victim has alleged in her complaint to the police that the accused barged into her house where she was alone as her family had gone to attend the ‘rasam pagri’ of her maternal grandfather.
     
     
    The two allegedly raped her one after the other and left after threatening her of dire consequences in case she revealed the matter.
     
     
    The woman informed her family when they returned on Wednesday night.
     
     
    The family took her to the women police station in Fatehabad where an FIR was lodged.
     
     
    Bimla Devi, SHO of the women police station, said an FIR had been registered under Sections 376-D (where a woman is raped by two or more persons constituting a group or acting in furtherance of a common intention), 450 (house trespass) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC.
     
     
    She said the woman was taken to General Hospital for medical examination and efforts were being made to arrest the accused.
