  • Legendary Urdu poet Rahat Indori passes away due to heart attack.

Well renowned and celebrated Urdu poet Rahat Indori, whose poetry touched the hearts of Indians in India and outside of India died on Tuesday. Many took to Twitter and offered their condolances such as MP Ahmed Patel, Tej Pratap Yadav, Minor Water Resource Minister for Bihar, and MP Sharad Yadav.

Son Satlaj Indori who followed in his father's footsteps also a poet shared the news. The 70-year-old former teacher who became a poet was being treated for COVID-19 passed away due to a heart attack on Tuesday at a hospital in Indore.

Among Rahat Indori's most powerful lines were, "Sabhi ka khoon hai shamil yahan ki mitti mein; Kisi ke baap ka Hindustan thodi hai (Everybodys blood mingles in the soil here; Hindustan does not belong solely to any one)". He was known for reciting couplets in a very expressive style.
