Darpan News Desk IANS, 15 Mar, 2017 12:21 PM

A 50-year-old man killed his intoxicated son after the latter slapped him over a trivial issue, police said on Wednesday.

They said the incident took place on Tuesday night at around 10.30 p.m. when the deceased, Gyano, who worked as a labourer reached his residence in West Delhi's Bhalswa Dairy area.

"Gyano, who had consumed alcohol started fighting with his father, Chandrika. Chandrika was sleeping at the moment when Gyano slapped him. In a fit of rage, Chandrika brought a knife from the kitchen and stabbed Gyano," Deputy Commissioner of Police Milind Dumbre said.

His elder son, Jugno later intervened and took Gyano to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead, Dumbre said.

"Chandrika has been arrested on the charge of murder," the officer said.
