Navjot Singh Sidhu Compares Priyanka Gandhi To Kohinoor Diamond

IANS, 11 Feb, 2019 10:17 PM

Punjab Local Bodies Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu on Monday launched his parallel campaign backing the entry of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in the political scene of Uttar Pradesh.

Known in the Congress circles as the party’s campaigner at large, Sidhu today posted a series of tweets showering generous praises on Priyanka and competing her to the precious “Kohinoor diamond”.

In his trademark style defined by hyperbole, Sidhu said the Congress needs Priyanka like rivers need springs and buildings need foundations.

Sidhu is known to be close to Priyanka and two days ago paid visit to her house to express solidarity with her husband Robert Vadra who is facing an ED probe.

On Monday, Sidhu took to Twitter to boost the Congress morale in UP and describe the Rahul Gandhi-Priyanka Gandhi-Jyotiraditya Scindia team in the state as a winning team, which has “started off with a six”.

“The first blow is half the battle || First innings... first ball... it’s a six! Well begun, half done @priyankagandhi @RahulGandhi @INCIndia,” Sidhu said in his first tweet.

He then said: “There is one good thing about luck, it changes with @priyankagandhi”, and went on to add “Rivers need Springs, Buildings need Foundations, The Congress needs @priyankagandhi”.

In an especially flattering tweet to Priyanka Sidhu wrote, “Diamonds are forever, so is @priyankagandhi Lucknow Welcomes the Kohinoor!” On Scindia this is what the Punjab minister said,

The Royal Salute to UP, @JM_Scindia the King of Hearts! Welcome Lion King @JM_Scindia, UP awaits your roar, let the Congress soar!”
