New WhatsApp Feature Allows You To Share Stories To Facebook

Darpan News Desk IANS, 25 Sep, 2019 07:53 PM

When now parent company Facebook purchased the platforms of WhatsApp and Instagram, the whole idea behind the semi-culminationsof the platforms was to create a unified interface where users of any of the three messaging platforms could simply text the other without having that particular app on their phone.

The new WhatsApp update definitely seems a step in that direction and the feature is available for every user who has updated to the new version of the app.

Once updated, you can use the feature by following these steps-

Step 1- Swipe over left and go to the Status tab in the app’s interface.

Step 2- Upload a status. This may either be text, picture or a video.

Step 3- Publish it. Once published, you’ll see a new ‘share to Facebook’ prompt on the screen. Tap on it.

Step 4- When you get redirected to the Facebook story interface, choose your story customisations like who gets to see your updates.

The Status should now get posted on Facebook in the background.

WhatsApp is also working on a new feature recently spotted in the latest beta update, that allows you to even hide status updates from the contacts you have muted. This helps your status tab stay clear of updates from people you are not interested in at the moment.
