  • No Photography Inside Golden Temple Complex

The SGPC has banned videography and photography on Golden Temple premises.

The SGPC has put up boards inside the complex, saying: “Photography and videography are strictly prohibited in the precincts of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple), the spiritual centre of the world.”

SGPC additional manager Rajinder Singh Ruby said the decision had been taken to avoid “disturbance”. However, there was no clarity on whether the devotees would be allowed to carry their smartphones on the premises.

“We’ve just got orders to put up the boards prohibiting photography inside the complex,” he said.
