Passenger from Dubai held at IGI with 1,000 grams gold

New Delhi, Aug 8 (IANS) An Indian passenger, who had flown in from Dubai, was found in possession of 1,000 grams gold worth over Rs 45 lakh, Customs officials said on Monday.
The passenger reached at terminal number 3 on August 6.
He was intercepted after he had crossed the Green Channel and was approaching towards the exit gate. On thorough checking of his baggage, nothing suspicious was found. However, on a search of his person, two gold chains, weighing 1,000 grams and valued at Rs 45,34,125, were recovered from him.
The boy was missing since January 26, 2011 after he left his home without informing anyone. His mother had filed a police complaint then but the boy remained untraced.
Maneka Gandhi, who is contesting from Sultanpur parliamentary constituency, also accused the former Uttar Pradesh chief minister of not being loyal to anyone.
Timarpur, North Delhi, Delhi: The incident happened on Monday around 2.30 pm when Ravi Kumar, a resident of Yograj Colony in Gandhi Vihar area, was out on his bike to buy cooler grass pads from a nearby market, they said.
