Actress-filmmaker Pooja Bhatt took to Instagram to reveal that she had been sober for almost three years now, after struggling with alcoholism.

"Two years & ten months sober today.. time to reflect on the past & absorb the now.. Kal Kisne Dekha after all? To any and all of you who are battling your demons & grappling with addiction issues, know that you're not alone. If I could do it, you can too. Support from her fans poured in.

"True fighter!" wrote one user on Instagram.

Another said: "Stay blessed and sober."

While one fan called Pooja, "My inspiration", another simply wrote: "So proud of you".

One fan found resonance in with Pooja's confession in his own life: "Whenever i see u, i feel u r like me.. it took a huge efforts for me and my family too to achieve my sobriety."

Pooja Bhatt returns to the screens next year in "Sadak 2", which marks the returns of her father Mahesh Bhatt as director over two decades after the 1998 film, "Zakhm".
