  • Popular Haryanvi Rapper Rahul Yadav Aka Fazilpuria Claims Threat To Life
Popular Haryanvi rapper Rahul Yadav aka Fazilpuria, who shot to fame with the 'Chull' song in the film 'Kapoor and Sons', has claimed threat to his life and sought police protection.

Recently, some Punjabi singers too have been threatened by gangsters.

In an application to the Police Commissioner, Fazilpuria said he feared for life and thus wanted police protection. He has even applied for arms licence.

"Fazilpuria came to meet me and submitted an application seeking police protection as he felt threatened. We are considering the application. Fazilpuria has also sought arms licence and we are considering his that application as well. There is no mention of provocation leading to fear," said CP Sandeep Khirwar.

Media reoprts claim that few nights ago the rapper's car was attacked by an unidentified youth on MG Road. On not finding Fazilpuria inside the car, the attacker broke the registration plate.

Fazilpuria also reportedly told police about suspicious bikers keeping a watch on his home and driving around in nearby areas. He had reportedly been advised by police to keep the matter under wraps.

"Fazilpuria insisted that his CCTV at his home had caught bikers driving up and down the road as if waiting for him to come out. He claims that these suspicious bikers have been closely watching his home as well," said a senior police official.

Fazilpuria has again requested for arms licence, application for which was earlier kept pending by the department concerned owing to doubt of his involvement in a case few years ago.

Meanwhile, the CP has forwarded the matter to Crime Unit for investigation.

The rapper had hit the headlines last year when he was caught by police for drunk driving and had allegedly misbehaved with cops who intercepted him on a 'naka'. He had insisted that he just had a 'paan' and breathalyser was faulty.
