Priyanka Gandhi to attend Bihar version of Bharat Jodo Yatra

Patna, March 1 (IANS) Congress national general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is likley to attend and address a rally on the last day of the party's Bihar version of Bharat Jodo Yatra in Gaya.
The yatra began in the state on January 5 from Mandar mountain in Banka district. Three legs of the yatra have concluded and the last leg will start after Holi.
During a meeting at party's headquarters Sadakat Ashram, Congress state president Akhilesh Prasad Singh said: "Top leadership has given a clear indication that Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will address a rally in Gaya."
Earlier, there was a buzz that former party president Rahul Gandhi may come to the state on the last day of the yatra to address a rally.
The yatra was supposed to conclude in February end but as the party's national convention was to be held from February 24 to 26 in Raipur, it was was rescheduled.
Now, the last leg will start from Phulwarisharif in Patna after Holi and cover 115 km to reach Gaya.
The exact date of the fourth leg of the yatra is not announced yet.
The police have recovered 5.57 kg heroin, 17 kg opium, 25 kg ganja, seven quintals poppy husk, 2.25 lakh intoxicant pills and capsules, etc, after carrying out cordon and search operations in drug-affected areas.
The authorities were directed to commence classes in Medical Colleges of Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala and Sangrur from next year. Free medicines should be provided to patients in the hospitals of the medical colleges as early as possible, he added.

The Chief Minister accused SAD leaders, Parkash Singh Badal and Sukhbir Singh Badal, of conniving with the governments at the Centre to dilute the claims of Punjab over Chandigarh. He categorically asked Sukhbir Badal to explain that why the SAD was tightlipped about Chandigarh when they were partners in the successive government at the Centre.
After taking two 'pheras' Neetu suddenly announced that she was calling off the marriage. She said that the groom shown to her earlier, was not the one whom she was marrying. At least three langars (community kitchens) and 25 Yatri tents were washed away in flash floods caused by the cloudburst. Sources said that around three dozen people are missing in this tragedy and efforts are on to locate them.
