Punjab Cabinet Minister Sikander Singh Maluka 'Abuses' Cop At AIIMS Bathinda

Darpan News Desk, 25 Nov, 2016 11:30 AM
Punjab Cabinet minister Sikander Singh Maluka on Friday allegedly abused a policeman posted on security at the entrance to the venue of foundation stone laying ceremony of AIIMS here.

Head Constable Kamaljeet Singh alleged in front of media that he was abused by the minister who used foul and unparliamentary words.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was here to lay the foundation stone of AIIMS.

Meanwhile, the Punjab Congress termed the incident as Badal government's "dictatorial high-handedness".

However, Maluka was not available for comments.

Strongly condemning the incident, Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) demanded an immediate probe and stern action against Maluka for his imperious behaviour.

The Congress demanded that the Prime Minister take cognisance of the incident and order immediate and exemplary action against Maluka.

In another incident, a woman was allegedly roughed up and taken into a jeep by security staff for shouting in her attempt to meet the PM while he was delivering his speech.
