Punjab Court Frames Charges Against Arvind Kejriwal, 2 Others

Darpan News Desk IANS, 18 Nov, 2016 11:44 AM
A local court on Friday framed charges against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal and its leaders Sanjay Singh and Ashish Khetan in a criminal defamation case filed by Punjab Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia.

The charges were framed by the court of Ravi Inder Kaur.

Later, talking to reporters outside the court room, Majithia said, "This battle has all along been one of standing up to one's honour. My stand has finally been vindicated."

He claimed that the framing of charges against the top AAP leadership was also a victory for Punjabis who had won back their honour.

"Now the AAP party has no moral right to represent Punjabis. Its leaders should simply pack up their bags and go back to Delhi and eastern Uttar Pradesh and let Punjabis decide their own fate," he said.
