Punjabi Singer Amandeep Singh Lamba Booked In A Rape Case By A Delhi Woman

    Punjabi singer Amandeep Singh Lamba has been booked in an alleged rape case.
     
     
    The allegation was levelled by a Delhi woman who works for an event management company and the singer has been booked under Section 376 of the IPC.
     
     
    The FIR has been registered in South Delhi’s Mehrauli police station.
     
     
    The complainant alleged that Amandeep cheated her on the pretext of marriage.
     
     
    A case was registered in the first week of July. According to a police officer, the complainant’s statement has been recorded and her medical examination done.
     
     
    Lamba had been granted exemption by a court from joining the investigation till July 18. He will join the investigation at Mehrauli police station on Thursday, the officer said.
