Rahul Gandhi Ticks Off Sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra

Darpan News Desk IANS, 29 May, 2019 07:19 PM

The meeting of the Congress Working Committee continues to make news for a range of issues—from Congress president Rahul Gandhi refusing to take his resignation back to taunting the veterans for putting their sons before the party.

It’s now learnt that Ashok Gehlot, P Chidambaram and Kamal Nath were not the only ones Gandhi confronted. He also ticked off sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on two occasions.

The first was when Priyanka, who joined as the AICC general secretary in January, gave the CWC her piece of mind saying, “Those responsible for the defeat of the Congress are all in this room.”

At this Rahul interrupted her saying, “That’s not correct.”

Gandhi again interjected his sister when she said, “I have known my brother for 50 years. He won’t take his resignation back.”

At this Gandhi said, “You could not have known me for 50 years. I am only 48.”

At this, the serious-looking gathering broke into laughter.
