'Rahul Gandhi's Comments Immature; Jawaharlal Nehru Responsible For Kashmir Mess'

IANS, 12 Jul, 2017 01:13 PM
Reminding Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of the 1984 riots, the BJP on Wednesday hit back stating that his comments were proof of an “immature mind”.

BJP leader Meenakshi Lekhi also asked him to take some “history lessons” to find out who exactly was responsible for the “Kashmir mess”.

“I think if one person can be blamed it is Nehru (former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru) himself,” she said.

“The kind of language he (Rahul) has used, I do not know what personal benefit anyone can draw out of bloodshed, maybe those who are responsible for the 1984 riots know it well.

“But it only shows an immature mind who doesn’t know the history of his own family because if anyone is singularly responsible for the mess we are watching in J&K it is the Nehru family.

“Not just in 1947, even post that whatever happened in Kashmir, I think if one person can be blamed it is Nehru himself, and post Nehru the  policies that the Congress followed and Jehadi Islamist terrorism which happened in 1990s, he would do well to get correct briefing from his staff, she said.
