The second list containing these 25 names is likely to be made public in a couple of days.

"About 25 more nominees were cleared in the CEC meeting on Tuesday. None of the former Akalis, who had joined the Congress, were discussed in the meeting.

"These sests were mainly those which did not have many contenders. It is likely to be announced by December 22-23," said the party source.

"Manish Tewari's candidature for the polls was also not been taken up in the meeting," he added.

The Congress announced the first list of 61 nominees for the Punjab polls last week.

The next CEC meet may take place towards the month-end.
