Shootout in Jalandhar: Brothers Shot At; 1 Dead, Another Injured

    Two brothers, who run a shop of agricultural implements, were shot at on Tuesday evening on Ladowali Road here.


    While Davinder Singh Sehra alias Rinku (38), was declared brought dead in the civil hospital, his younger brother Kamalpreet Singh Sehra alias Babbu was injured.


    Both were reportedly sitting in their shop 'Sehra Field' when five-six men came there around 6.15 pm and opened fire.


    Gaurav, a shopkeeper present at the crime scene, said Sehra brothers along with their friend Pradeep Singh were in their shop when the attackers arrived on two motorbikes and one Activa scooter and started raining bullets on them.

     


    They also attacked the victims with sharp-edged weapons and left them badly wounded.

     

    Gaurav added that Rinku received five bullets in his chest and stomach and succumbed to his injuries immediately.


    The doctors at civil hospital shifted Babbu to a private hospital. He had received bullet injuries on his leg and a hand besides suffered cuts in his head.
