Darpan News Desk, 24 Oct, 2015 03:04 PM
A teenaged girl died after allegedly slipping and falling from third floor balcony of her house in the Safdarjung Enclave area here on Saturday, police said.

Rajpriya Sinha, 18, a class 12 student at a private school, was staying in south Delhi with her uncle, a former Bihar legislator, a police official said, adding that so far, no foul play was suspected.

"The girl had held a get together for her sister and close friends yesterday (Friday) night when the elders were not home. She came to the balcony around 2.30 a.m. to check on a friend, who had just arrived in an auto-rickshaw, when her foot slipped and she lost balance and fell," the official told IANS.

Sinha's friends called up the police control room and she was rushed to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences Trauma Centre, where she was pronounced dead.
