Two killed in army firing in Kashmir

    Two people were killed and two others injured Monday when soldiers at an army check post fired at a vehicle that jumped the inspection point in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.
     
    "Soldiers at the check post in Chattergam area fired at the fleeing vehicle, which resulted in bullet injuries to four occupants," a police source told IANS.
     
    Two people were critically injured and died in the army's Base Hospital in Srinagar, while the other two were reportedly battling for life in the hospital's critical care facility.
     
    Army and police officers rushed to the spot to find out about the firing.
     
    The identities of the four people were being established.
