Busted: Sex Toys Preferred By Men Too

Darpan News Desk Darpan, 12 Sep, 2014 12:56 PM
It is a myth that most sex toys are bought by young, single women. In fact, sales of sex toys is split evenly between both the sexes, claims the world's biggest study of sex toy sales.

According to a study by Lovehoney, Britain's most popular sex toy firm, 75 percent of female purchasers were in a relationship and an even higher 79 percent of male purchasers were dating.

“The contents of hundreds of thousands of bedroom drawers can now be known with absolute certainty,” lead researcher Jon Millward was quoted as saying.

He analysed a million sex toys sales over a five-month period.

The findings showed that 88 percent of British men buy small condoms.

“It is great to shatter the myth that toys are most frequently bought by single people. In fact, most sales are to couples looking to enhance their sexual happiness and share the toys together,” Millward explained.

The study also found that 18.5 percent of people wrote 'leave with neighbour' for their online delivery instructions.
