Donald Trump's Win Auspicious For India, Says Ramdev

Darpan News Desk IANS, 11 Nov, 2016 01:36 PM
Hailing Donald Trump's victory in the US presidential polls, yoga guru Ramdev on Wednesday termed the development as "auspicious" for India and claimed bad days are on the anvil for those patronising terrorism.

"I congratulate Trump for his victory. Pakistan will be in corner and terror forces will be defeated in the world. A new era of Indo-US relationship has started," Ramdev told reporters here.

Ramdev backed Mr Trump over the latter's anti-immigrant rhetoric made during the poll campaign, saying rights of Native Americans should be protected and also dubbed the leader as "defender of swadeshi" concept.

"A new chapter will be written in the history of world with Trump's victory as bad days are in store for those countries which have been patronising terrorism. Trump will fight against terrorism, religious fundamentalists globally... Trump's victory is auspicious for India," he added.

Mr Trump beat seasoned politician Hillary Clinton in the US polls, defying the odds to become the 45th US President.
